[Announcement of financial results for the 3Q] Operation Performance in FY21.9 Period 3Q is 25.3 billion yen of consolidated transaction volume (38% year-on-year), 14.1 billion yen of consolidated net sales (79% year-on-year), 3 billion yen of consolidated operating profit which is the highest-ever in the Third quarter.

AirTrip Corp. (Head Office: Minato Ward, Tokyo; President & Representative Director / CFO: Yusuke Shibata; Stock Code: 6191; hereinafter “the Company”) conducts AirTrip Online Travel Business, Inbound Travel Agency / Wi-Fi Rental Business, IT Off-shore Development Business, Media Business, Healthcare Business and Investment Business with a corporate philosophy of One Asia.


This is an announcement of Financial Results for the Third Quarter of the 15th Fiscal Year Ending September 30, 2021. 


We have positioned this as the first year of "Restart", the second stage after listing. Through the implementation of our growth strategy "AirTrip Restart", we have steadily increased our business revenue and achieved a record high operating profit  for the first three quarters.


As for AirTrip Online Travel Business, despite the impact of the repeated state of emergency, we have steadily captured the potential domestic travel demand in the COVID-19 situation and secured stable earnings by implementing AirTrip branding measures in the various fields and optimizing advertising in response to increases and decreases in demand.
 

In existing business domains other than the travel domain, we are promoting the diversification of our business portfolio. The IT Off-shore Development Business, Inbound Travel Agency / Wi-Fi Rental Business, the Media Business, and the Investment Business have all continued to grow smoothly. 

 

In the healthcare business, which is a new business field, to prepare for the rapidly increasing demand for PCR tests, several brick-and-mortar stores was opened; a new Quick PCR Shinbashi Test Center in Tokyo (Shinbashi) in July, and T-Care Clinic Osaka (Namba), a clinic affiliated with the Company in August. We are accelerating the growth of our business by capturing the market needs nationwide through the implementation of mass marketing such as the airing of TV commercials in the Tohoku region.

 

At the current moment, we expect the impact of the fifth wave of the COVID-19 and the declaration of a state of emergency on the travel domain  to continue for a certain period of time. However, we will promote further diversification and restructuring of our business portfolio to strategically build the AirTrip economic zone.

 

In the future, the AirTrip Group will aim for never-ending growth by achieving a significant recovery in earnings in the AirTrip Online Travel Business through a shift to increased demand for travel as a result of widespread vaccination and the commercialization of a treatment for the COVID-19. In addition to the AirTrip Online Travel Business, we will continue solid growth in five other business areas and build up business earnings by diversifying and restructuring our business portfolio.
